How do you find out what transfer case you have? Im getting a 4.5 inch lift from rustys and i want to get a SYE kit and probably a new front driveshaft, but i dont know what transfer case i have. Its a 98 4.0 liter XJ with the auto trans

Look on the tcase shifter, if it reads 2HI-4HI-N-4LO in that order, you have the Command-Trac system, which is the Np231 tcase. If it reads 2HI-4HI-4 FULL TIME-N-4LO, then you have the Selec-Trac system, which is the Np242 tcase.
