Ive got an 88 XJ with a 4.6 stroker. I was looking around my garage and I found a TB off my old civic. Believe it or not the TB from a 1.6 liter Honda is bigger than the one from my Jeep. I pulled the throttle plates from both and compared, Honda was a bit bigger all in all but it was more round than the jeep one. I grinded the Honda plate down until it was more of an oval like the jeep one. I decided to go ahead and bore the TB out. It's not exactly perfect, theres a few little gaps when the TB is closed, when I say little I mean like tiny. I reassembled everything, started it up, and the idle wont go down, It's a bit high. As I recall the stock plate on the jeep TB has a very tiny gap around the edge. Can a reset the TPS? and If so, How do I do this?
