Hey,

I recently acquired a sun pro tachometer for my 2000 xj. I searched the previous threads on the topic but I am unsure exactly where the negative side of the ignition coil. I do know where the coil rail is but before I start pluging and playing I wantd to see if anyone has any insight.

Do you have a manual(repair)?
if u do look up whitch wire goes to the instrument cluster, I am pretty sure that there is a wire going to the cluster even if the cluster does not have a tach.

I broswed through my haynes manual and didnt see anything but Ill take a better look tommorow.

theres 2 small wires going into the coil, the black one is the negetive
