Lift kit ordering question

I'm was about to order my 4.5" lift from RE and i saw that you needed to specify your rear axle for U-joint size. I have a dana 35 but i'm going this week to get an 8.8 off an explorer. which of the axles (d35, d44, c8.25) have axle tubes closest to the 8.8, or do i have to get different u joints all together?

Um, are you sure its not for U-bolt size?

He probably meant u-bolt. Just typed out joint accidently.

Its for U-bolt size not U-joint. If you run a diffrent rear end you will need to match the U-bolts to the tube size.

Chances are you are going to have to get your own new u-bolts for the 8.8 rear. When I did my 8.8 swap the u-bolts for a 8.25 were too small, and I believe that the D44 u-bolts are still too small for the 8.8 axle tube diameter. Just order the kit with what ever size u-bolts you think you can sell to your friends the easiest!! take that money and put it towards a new set of u-bolts for the 8.8.
