hit brake to stop cruise get CEL & code 23

noticed cel yesterday after driving on the interstate. didnt notice it pop up the first time (steering wheel kinda covers it from view). got code 23 when i got where i was going. on the way back runnin cruise for about 45 miles, then hit brake to start slowing for the exit and bam...cel comes on. no new codes. light cleared after shutting down, no reoccurence with short trips on cruise. think maybe something is sending high volt to the tps? im at work and dont have my fsm to see if wiring is interconnected. anybody hear of something like this?
