is my transmission about to go????

about two weeks ago i noticed while i was driving i would push the gas and it would rev then jerk forward, kinda felt like the gears were not catching or something so i checked my transmission oil and there was none on the dipstick, so i added some atf and the problem went away, i had the same problem today so i checked and it was really low again so i added more

could this be a sign my transmission is going to go? or could it have just been low?

Im planning on spending alot on a lift kit soon and dont want the tranny to go a week later!

park over some cardboard and chek for leaks also check the hoses to the radiator
