nv3550 drain plug leak

just as it says, my drain plug leaks alittle, not enough to drip but enough to bother me. the 17mm hex plug is torqued to right amount. i don't want to over tighten, what about a sealant like right stuff or the heavy duty teflon tape. what do you guys think? anyone else had this problem?

I would try Teflon tape first. If the leak still occurs, maybe a small amount of RVT sealant on it next time.
