I bought a XJ that has about 6” of lift and they used long arm bottoms and short arms on top. I took it to the local shop and they said “scrap it”. Apparently as the axle drops the pinion turns downward. Problem is the old upper control arm mounts are cut off and I’d just like to go back to a short arm kit. Why did thy make this type system to start with? Can you buy brackets to bolt on to replace the old mounts? If not, what’s the best long arm kit out there? Thanks!
