Well, this is my first jeep/4x4 ever and I'm pretty stoked about it's potential. Thanks to mud1059 for selling me the new money pit. Here are some pics....

First items on list to complete are:

Repair shifter and other various mechanical items
Purchase/install 4.5" lift kit
Purchase/fabricate new bumpers (have a lead on a pair for $80)
Finish fender trim and rap
Purchased new/used 33x12.50s for it

Any input is greatly appreciated......:looney:

Have fun with it!

Love the design I might have to fab one a dem up for meez (I currently don't have a parking brake)

Welcome to the board, it's always nice to see more people from the north end. Check out the n00bfest thread, you'll have alot of fun finding out what even a stock cherokee can do.

My roomate's son had these bumpers from his Toyota project, he graciously unloaded them to me for $80 for the pair! Might have to trim a tad bit of length on the front piece, but other than that it'll work great!! I noticed the rear is a tad tweeked, may not use it though....... Nothing a 20-ton shop press can't straighten out.:spin1:

I don't appreciate you blaming me for that thing. I've never seen that POS before in my life! :D I'm not sure why the 2x4's are there, it's stuck in 2nd gear.

Not anymore, I popped the shifter out and was able to re-align the forks for the shifter in the trans.....shifts great now!:)

Whadya guys think of this? Too high, low, or just right.....? I'm having to fabricate and weld my own mounts so I need some expert advice.

Also, how much depth will I need for a winch?

Could stay there maybe if you relocate the solenoids under the hood. I don't have measurements handy, but I think it will have to slide out a couple inches.

Okay, cool.....

I'm going out to my shop to begin a "custom" speaker enclosure now. :wierd:

Nice looking starter rig, welcome to the board. That rear bumper looks pretty beat, but I know how a great price on parts will get the old fiix/modify/fab juices flowing. Keep us apprised.

BTW, I'm north end also, Mill Creek. Reiter's calling us.

Nice looking rig. Looks like a good platform. Your truck looks like it leans a little bit to the pass side, or maybe its the half bottle of jack i just drank?!?!?!

It probably is. The whole undercarriage is on just enough to move it around. Not street worthy just yet. Plus his tires are slightly turned. Oh, and his shocks are chillin in the cargo area. With those powers combined...

Yeah, well.....I haven't ordered my lift yet and I still don't know what I'm going to do for wheels/tires. Then there's that whole MONEY issue.....

I DID trim the from fenders today though! :)

I thought of mounting a winch tucked in like that. Your best beat is to put a Warm M8000 down there which according to warn would need about 7" of depth and 8" of height, though you would have to make sure you can get to the free spool lever. Also remember that it is mounted to a bottom plate, so you will need something to mount it to.

Finished the front fender trimming, and got some edging from Schucks for $8......worked out great. Just need to notch and bend over the seam inside the inner fender, and trim the rears as well!
