Hey, I've a quick question.

I recently came across a 2000 Jeep cherokee Service manual, I have a 96 Cherokee.....

I was wondering if the setup is any different from year to year, and if this manual should be able to help me in changing them?

any infor would be appreciated.

'00 FSM is going to have numerous frustrating changes to it that won't apply to your '96. eBay or sell it here on NAXJA and use the proceeds to buy a '96 FSM. FSMs are available in paper and CD-ROM format through www.techauthority.com

As for u-joints...there are several threads on here as well as numerous writeups that detail changing the u-joints. One of the best I've seen in recent years is on a TJ site, but it applies to XJ axles and driveshafts as well - http://stu-offroad.com/axle/ujoint2/ujoint-1.htm
