Question about motor.....

I am new here and love the site. I recently purchased a 1997 Jeep Cherokee. I bought it with 165,000 miles on the clock. The engine was rebuilt 3000 miles ago....well when i got it home i started it the next day and it started to tick. It sounds like one of the rocker arms is loose and needs adjusted. I am positive that it is in the top end........any advice or knowledge of this would help.

If it's just clicking, it's fine. Most likely the injectors over the lifters.
If it is clanking and gets louder with increased RPM's then it might be a collapsed lifter.

Exhaust leak?

Well i got the bad news today, and i was way off. Something to do with a wrist pin. Need a new motor. Thanks for the suggestions.....uke: :doh:
