Intake Air Temperature Sensor - Change?

My 96 XJ is setting code 23. This is the intake air temperature sensor. I went to 6 different auto parts stores and no one had one that matched mine. They all had the same thing, some called it a "air charge sensor" and others pulled it up by the IAT listing. It does not match what is on my XJ. Is there a replacement for the OEM or a cable to be converted. The pins on the new units are closer together and the plugs don't match. But the sensor itself and the threads for the manifold match the OEM unit. If anyone has any info on this, I would really appreciate it. I may have to hit the dealer tomorrow to see what they have.
