Gas Tank Relocation

Anyone done this? Saw one on a local board, the guy relocated the gas tank half way into the cargo area.

I was wondering if there was anyone else, and if so, some good pictures of you you did.

Not going to go fuel cell, I'm just talking moving the stock tank up to gain clearance.

yeah i am in on the same idea and is verey easy but it is nice having the cargo space flat especially for my rubbermaid tubs... i might just go with a fuel cell

What all do you have to do to relocate the gastank?
I have a MJ I want to do this to. Im gonna move mine inside the bed.
Is the sending unit inside the tank??

I talked to the local guy that did it. He said you'll need to add about a foot of fuel line, and you'll have to abandon your gas filler door, as the tank will be too high for the filler neck at stock location to ever fill it up.

Cut a hole in the floor large enough for the bottom of the tank, so the lip in the middle of the tank holds it up. Strap the tank to the floor, and then make some kind of enclosure for it. Done.

I've seen quite a few Jeep speed guys and pre runner guys do it...

Cut a hole in the floor, put the skid through the floor, gas tank is pinched in.

Any questions just ask.
