Some pics of the 8.8 build

Just finished up last night sold my buddy my hp 30 with 4.88's and arb and built him a 8.8 with 4.88 super 88 kit c clip elim axles and a arb. I ran the air line out of where the stock tone ring pickup went used a 1/2 npt to 1/4 npt pipe fitting and welded it in. Also It's getting a claytons 4 link rear with 36's on his 2000 xj. Air line came out nice because it's protected by to stock ears cast on the diff almost looks stock.

Any other plans for that "truss"? We had a local running a setup like that rip the thing of his D44.

Ouch. Yeah mabey We should beef that up with some gussets...
Anyone else route the airline like that it works perfect.

I'd say run the truss the way it is and then tie it into the diff cover. You could buy a http://www.ruffstuffspecialties.com/catalog/ford-88-differential-cover-p-180.htmlcover and weld a braket to it. Just a single truss with no gussets will rip of for sure.

Id gusset the inner corners of that tube, and maybe tie it into the top of the diff housing.

Im surprised claytons dident say anyting there usually pretty good.
