Time for the work to do list before Big Bear.

Me:

Trac bar
springs
shocks
axle seal
sway bar axle mounts
steering improvements
brakes
install new rock rails

Not much, really.....:laugh3:

things i will do:
some sort of recovery points...maybe
tighten up the ol' trackbar mount (shes poppin again)
find the tent i havent used in 4 years in the garage (aka buy new one :D)
fill cooler
enjoy
things i SHOULD do:

shocks
brakes
oilchange
alignment
re-balance the swampers.

installing 37" crawlies on my new D35. lol

well, if I can convince the father in law to go with me and ditch the cinco de mayo party, then I need to swap my trackbar, get someone to weld my lca skids and shock mounts for me.

I'll play...

Rock Rails
Front Coil Spacers
Replace Front Speakers
SYE
Trim Fenders (MAYBE)

hmmmm.. I think that's it.. But who knows.. I've been wanting to do these things for awhile now.. :gag:

Oh Yeah.. Maybe put a front bumper on.. But I really don't want to..

Who's next??

Elias

Front brake swap
New disco's
front bumpstops
ball joints
o-ring between PS pump and reservoir.

lotsa other stuff but it gonna happen before big bear

Convert the 2wd Crap box to 4WD.....

Install:
Ford 8.8 with dics, detroit,
4.11's front and rear
Ax-15
NV241OR
drive shafts
'97 brake booster
ZJ prop valve
and a new head gasket
.....needless to say...I won't be making it...

Need to replace the bushings in my driverside lower control arm. But last time I tried, the mini drill press with a lack of vise didn't quite do it...So, if anyone is near here and has better equipment, lemme know, I can supply pizza and/or beer...

Finish my scoop/cowl/cold air crap.
Make new rockrails if time permits (looks doubtful:tears: , maybe I'll just paint the old ones:laugh2: )
maybe an oil change

Kyung

this should hold me over till the dumptrucks done.

Well since there's no chance the engine will be done (damn Exchange servers!) what I need to do is get that M416 registered so I can bring it on it's first run.

Other than that I'm good to go, will be a slow drive up the mountain and probably warm (Damn thing heats up on grades, that problem will be corrected when I change out the engine and radator!)

The question is though... Should I make more sour mix :firedevil

for me its........

-fit new PSC heavy duty steering box
-tie rod flip insert
-mount 7100 bilstein front shocks & 5150 rears
-re bumpstop front
-fit hood louvers

make sure you allocate time to remove the PSC shortly after installing it. It will happen... :)

well a bit more work then I want to have to worry about doing but:

finish 14 bolt-
install detroit and 5:38's and clearance some (the rest after BB) of the lower lip

Rockjock 60 front-
layout front housing and cut tubes to length
install inner C's
measure for correct length inner axles and order them and hope to get them in time
install ARB and 5:38's
install lower CA brackets that also are spring pads and shock mounts
Fab upper CA mounts for johnny Joints
Fab Trackbar mount
install the full outer assembly on the 60 and rebuilt kingpins
fab up high steer setup

Shorten front driveshaft

set rear bumpstops

convert A/C to OBA and plumb all the lines, oiler, filter, regulators etc.

remove tranny pan and install new one.

Hope that 1ton front dual piston and rear 3/4ton calipers will function with my current WJ brake booster and MC.

and I am sure lots of smaller crap I havent expected yet

SO I think I may be there, at least to camp and hitch a ride with someone?

so robert i take it you may not need that trailer after all?

you give russ a call about the tranny pan?

Well I have the tow bar and brackets up there, so thats my trailer right there, if need be.

Yes called him but getting the old one off mine and getting over there and swapping, right now is not in the cards., Hoping by next week though. Thanks

Me: Trac-bar mount, u-bolt fix, rock-rails (already ordered), winch bumper and the new 12,000 lb winch, 33 inch tires/wheels, HOPEFULLY a D44 with gears/lockers (yea, right), install the new TPS i got so that the Jeep doesn't idle at 150 RPM or 3500 RPM (depending on it's mood), fix my CB antenna since it seems to whip around more than I like, then just pretty much tidy up and top off fluids. Anyone want me to bring my 110v welder up just in case?
