Ok So I just put a set of clear corners on my 97

I went and got the amber bulbs first

Advanced Auto said 194's for the side markers and 2057's for the parking lamps

So I put the sidemarkers in and go to the parking lamps, all 4 of my parking lamps were 3157's

Every autoparts store I went to had 2057 in the computer and no bulb in any location of the Jeep uses a 3157 according to the owners manual, the owners manuals says 194 and 2057

Does anyone else with a 97-01 have 3157 bulbs in the parking lamps

2057 and 3157's have totally different bases but all the wiring looked factory and even the aftermarket clear housings fit fine

Is this wierd or am I just missing something really stupid here?

I had the same problem with tail lights. Parts store had 1157 listed in book and computer and it takes 3157 when you take the old one out. I bought what the book said got all the way home and had the wrong bulbs. I dont know what the deal is.

Yeah Pep Boys Advanced Auto and Auto Zone all had 2057 in the comp

My 97 OWNERS MANUAL has 2057, and I had the part store put in 98/99/00/01 all 2057

No where in the owners manual did it say 3157, matter a fact I think it said 1157 for the taillights, I think 3157's and 1157's at least have the same base design I think, 31 is bigger maybe, just guesses though

Don't get it

3157 and 1157 are the same bulb. 3157 has a blade style connector 1157 has a socket style connector. HTH.

maybe it wasnt 1157, the one they had listed was a screw in type bulb and it takes the 3157 which is a blade type connector.
