front DS question

My front DS just want to crap, ujoints and ball centering unit are shot. I have found one but it came out of a manual XJ, mine is a Auto does it really make that big of a difference???

I haven't compared the two, but I beleive that they are different, one is longer, and I believe the manual trans shaft is longer, but I could be wrong.
