Installing a new ignition cylinder(need help)...

as in, you are changing the Key cylinder?
you'll need a wheel puller (15-20 bucks at Auto Zone), some smaller sockets, and some Torx bits. Then a couple screwdrivers ..i think.
So basic tools and a drive to work intricate puzzles. Nah its not that bad. Just remember the order everything came off...and take it slow.
Of course, i dont know what year Xj you are working on. if theres an airbag, i can't help you. Once you get the steering wheel off, theres a couple plates, the turn signal assy, the Key cyl has a single screw holding it in.then the Cyl should slide right out. I know there are many write ups on this on here. search, search, search. its a GM column if its an older one..FYI
