RE hack & tap for NP242??

I have heard, seen, that folks have done the h&t on the 242 T/case.... But RE dosen't offer it for the 242?? Is there something that I'm missing? I'm currently at 4.5" with t/c drop kit but want to go up to 6" and run 33s soon... Can somebody help out here?

Call tom woods or 4xshaft.com He sells one.

The h&t is the same part for 242 and 231. I put RE's kit on my 242
about a year ago, and it works fine. Be sure to chamfer the end of the cut shaft or you'll never get the flange on. Also, don't do as I did and break the pilot hole drill bit in three pieces- two stayed in the hole! Good Luck

as mentioned, it's the same kit for the 231 or 242. i have the RE kit on my 242 w/ 6" & 33s. if you wanted to take a look-see, i'm just over in Redondo Beach.
