bump stop question

Actually, you will probably need more than what came with the kit. What size tires do you plan to run and how much trimming? Here is my tech article on adjusting your bumpstops to help you figure out how much you need: http://www.rocklizardfabrications.com/Adjusting_Bumpstops.htm

I have the RE 5.5" kit with the 4.5" kit springs instead, running 35's with about 5" bumpstops front and rear.

If i have not enough bumpstop what will happen?
spring deterioration?
Or a slinky ride?
If i have too much, will it not articulate enough causing to roll off road?
It is my daily friver as well as my weekend warrior.
Need to find something healthy for the vehicle itsself.

The link worked fine for me.
its a nice write up and something I recently did as well.

Basically you need to flex you rig and measure. Add a bit to that number to allow for bump stop compression and install that legnth bump stops.

I used hocky pucks just as described in the write up.

For the rear I made my extention fron tubing and some flat stock. Then bolted up some new XJ bump stops and bolted and tack welded the mount to the frame.

Over flexing/compressing any spring will shorten its life.

Good luck,
