i am intersted in putting bumpers and the grill from say a 94 on my 89, will that be possible, direct fit?

Bumpers are identical. Grille design changed a little, with the later grille including part of the bezel that's separate in the earlier ones. So make sure you get the whole grille assembly. As far as I know, the grilles are interchangeable as long as you do the whole thing. Lights, etc. are the same, also. Just stick to 84-96.
