hello all

hey all, kinda new here, just recenetly aquirred a 99 4dr 4x4 chysler 8.25:: with plans of 35s locked front & rear and have a couple of questions, ive come across maybe 3 dana 44s out of a scout and a dana 300 tcase was wondering if it would be worth it to go ahead and jump on it? asking price 350 with scout body and frame(no use for). thanks:helpme:

If you want to run the D300, you'll have to run a front axle that has the diff on the passenger side. You'll also have to modify the tranny tunnel to make room for the case on the passenger side. The other option would be to flip the D300... either with a kit or by fabbing something yourself. Oh, and I think you'll need an adapter to mate the t-case to the tranny.

As for the axles... I believe the scout 44's are the least desirable of all Dana 44's.

Better to find out now! No prob about the thread title. Introductions are nice, but imagine if everyone used an introduction as a thread title.
