lift

How can I tell what size lift is on my xj? I have cut the fenders and I am clearing 33's but they rub real bad when I turn the wheel all the way to the left and when I hit bumps. I was thinking it was a 4.5 but I am not sure. Is there anyway to tell? Also is it possible to clear 35's with this lift?

Post a pic of what it looks like. Kinda hard to pull guesses out of the top hat, with out seeing first hand. If it rubs, it may be the wheels.
