What wire to I check to see if ignition switch has power?

89 XJ 4.0 manual trans

What wire do I check to see if the ignition switch has power to it?

Should be a pink wire I believe. It will not have power til the key is turned to accesory position. I assume this is what you meant? There is a red one or two in that harness running up next to the steering column that will have constant power. The starter wire is yellow I think.
