Brake light wire colors

Hey i have a 91 cherokee and i had to replace the socket for the brake light bulb. After i did that the brake light is always on instead of just the running light when the brake isnt applied. I was wondering if i screwed up a wire. There are three of them, a black one for ground, a blue one for im not sure, maybe remote, and i think a white or brown one for power. Im thinking if i mixed up the remote with power than that is why the bulb is always on. Please help if you can thanks,

I think you put the bulb in wrong. Take it out, turn it 180, and put it back in.
