XJ Gas Tank Noises

did a search, seems like this normal but just wanted to check....

my gas tank gurgles(spelling?). i can hear it especially when i park. the engine can be on or off.

what causes it?
is it normal?
anyone ever have a problem w/ it?

Mine does that too, its just the gas bouncing around in the tank. It should go away after a little while.

I hear that and when my tank is full it sounds like the float is moving around in the tank. It doesn't seems to be bad so I just forget about it but people who havew never heard it always ask

Mine does it too, when it's near empty. When I fill it up, it stops...

Me too, I can hear my float and I assume the linkage creaking around in there when the tank is full. Gradually goes away when the fuel level goes down.

There is a dealer fix for it. But it's not worth my time to do it. I don't mind a little gurgling.
