Does anyone know if the renix has this same silencer setup in the intake system as the one in the link.

If you are talking about the venturi looking thing that slips into the top of the air box and purges the charcoal canister, then it would be the same as a RENIX. I just removed mine and saw no difference in performance or economy. It still runs just as great as it always has!

Yes it does. Removed mine and we have always documented every tank of fuel and it is the wifes daily driver so same type of driving all the time. Say no difference.
