drop pitman arm

I have a 95 XJ, tnt customs long arm, RE 7.5 springs. I have the rustys tie rod conversoin with the goferit offroad flip inserts so my steering is over the knuckle. I have yet to put on a drop pitman arm. I know with this much lift you would normally want a 3 inch drop, but with the steering being on top of the knuckles is it going to be too much of a drop? Should I get the smaller (1.5 inch) drop instead? Thanks for any help guys
