I just bought a 98 XJ. When I let off of the gas pedal there is a slight growl. It goes away mostly when I am back in the gas. Anybody have any ideas?

I have a 99 XJ and it's doing the same thing. The pinion seal is leaking also. I'm pretty sure it's a bearing,probably pinion or maybe outer axle bearing. Good luck with yours.
