Oil Pressure Gauge all over the place...

I noticed driving yesterday that my oil pressure gauge was bouncing all over.

It would go from 0 - 40 then stay around 20. I'd accelerate and it would bounce off of 0 back to 20.

This is the first I've noticed it.

Oil leaks out the top hoses on the engine that I need to fix....other then that there are no oil leakes.

Could this just be a bad Sending unit?

It's a 93, 4.0. It has 175K miles on it.

yes, most likely the sending unit. make sure you clean the connection on the sender. if that does not do the trick, simply replace it and see what happens.

Where can you find the sender for $12? Last time I looked, I could only find it for $35.
