Broken starter mount on bell housing.

I broke one of the ears off the bell housing. Its the upper mount for the starter, now with just the lower bolt the starter tries to rotate when I turn it over. Anyone else had this problem. I hope I don't have to pull this tranny, and replace the bell housing just for a starter mount. Any suggestions?

if you still have the piece you may be able to tig it
or you can try some alu. wire in a mig.

Know anyone who can weld aluminum? Id give that a shot.

If not, JB weld might hold it, but not knowing for how long is another problem.

I thought about JB weld, but I don't think it will hold with the torque of the starter.
