Anyone painted their alloys. Best method?

I have a set of charcoal eccos that are pretty scared up. Any suggestions on refinishing them?

Most platers also powder coat.

I ate lunch with the guy that owns this Wrangler. He sand blasted then powder-coated the rims.

use paint stripper to remove the clear coat then get the alum rim cleaner for raw alum. It's an acid etching compound it will make your rims look better than new. then use an aircraft primer like an old school Zinc Oxide to get it to prime, and then shoot em with whatever ya want.......My .02

Glass bead blasted mine, then Rustoleum flat black. Has held up well and easy to touch up if needed.

use aircraft stripper also. And some scotch brit pads or very fine sand paper to roughen the surface for adherence. I wouldnt get them powder coated unless you can get a deal on it. Might as well just spray bomb them, eastwood has a range of metal colors from aluminum, graphite, mag, etc and so does duplicolor at autozone.
