Stolen 1997 Jeep Grand Cherokee - Imperial Beach area

Posting to help a fellow Jeeper:

All,

Stolen between noon and 1245pm 27FEB from IB.

I am currently deployed overseas and I just got word
from home that my Jeep was stolen today. On my
birthday no less! Anyhow, it’s a green ZJ with brand
new 33” Xterrains on black steel wheels with about 4-5
inches of lift. The spare tire is strapped to the roof
rack with red tie downs. It has sliders on the sides,
welded to the sub-frame.

I bought this Jeep from Gaylord so some of you may
remember it and what it looks likes. All I ask is that
you guys help keep an eye out for it, maybe it’ll show
up abandoned somewhere in the desert. Police have been
notified and all local tow companies with no luck, but
I live in Imperial Beach, so I have a feeling it may
have gone across the border. I’ll be returning from
deployment on May 1st. hopefully it shows up so I can
go wheeling when I get home.

Also, if any members are in other groups can you
please help get the word out for me, as I don’t have
reliable internet access out here! I’ll find a recent
photo as well and try to send it later. Thanks guys!

I'll pass word to some of the Camp Pendleton Jeepers I know...Who are you with?

That Sucks. My grand parents live right across the street from you so when ever i go down there i see your jeep. I will keep an eye out for it and tell them. They got there car stole last year and the mexican police found it two weeks later in mexico abandoned. i hope that you find it.
