Axle Play on a C-Clip D35

When doing my brakes after winterfest i noticed my axle shafts have about 1/2" play in and out of the tubes....i do have a lockrite in there, but didnt know if this was normal or what. I dont recall having that much play, but i do know that some play is normal.....1/2" way out of range here, should i be ripping this thing apart to fix it before anything happens?

sounds kinda sloppy but ive seen worst on high mileage cars
