When I take my foot off the gas, put my foot on the gas or sometimes when I am slowing to a stop I get a thunking or grinding sound from womewhere in my rear end and since it only happens when I am moving I cant really narrow it down easily. Anyone have any idea what this could be.

Thanks

Lots of possibilities. I think I would start by checking th U joints in the driveshaft. Next I would pull the wheels and look the brakes over. Then I would pull the diff cover and check the fluid and the gears out. Also wouldn't hurt to check out the Leaf springs and make sure the bushings are good and u bolts aren't loose.

Noises sometimes just require you to start "digging".

Good luck.

Do you have a lift at all? Whenever I would take my foot off the gas because I didn't have a SYE, I would hear a grinding noise too. I got my SYE in and haven't heard it since.
