i have a 90 limited and the tag is missing off of the rear. can any one tell me what ive got here?

either 8.25 or D35. Chances are if the plug is rubber it is 8.25 and if metal it is D35. The 8.25 also has a flat bottom where the 35 is round on the bottom.

i think the first year for the 8.25 was '91 so odds are you got the d35.

Mine is had (haha) D35 with a limited slip 3:55 gears, front HP30 non disco, 242 t-case.

in 1990 only rear axle choice (xjs) was dana 35, 8.25 came around with the chrysler era (HO)

if abs you have dana 35 rear axle 355.
