it sounds like a good idea, fill em up with grease and heat shink them? just wondering if anyone has done this, seen this or has any thoughts on this. i figure that they will wear out in spots but, i think that they would do a good job keeping the grease in them. that being the benifit....

I installed a lift recently on an 01 w/ 83,000 miles. The stock leaf springs didn't apppear to have wear on them in any particular location. I don't know if grease would benefit...

I don't think that they will flex as well, the shrink will only allow so much droop, and the compression will prolly split the shrink... just my .02

The plastic cannot be sealed as well as you would like it to. The grease will suck up dust and dirt and end up being more like abrasive paste.
I wouldn't suggest it.

I think you'd be much happier with leaf liners from http://www.deaverspring.com/ .
I have been running them for over two years, and know many others who do, and I can honestly say that they have made a big difference in longevity, deeper compression, and reduced slap noise.
