I think most of us do take them off, not really a noticable road difference and you get some better flex..for piece of mind the Up Country package XJs never even came with rear sway bars... so its not like taking yours off is goign to effect much...

When I took mine off, it made no noticable difference what so ever on the road.....it does flex better without it.
