Steering linkage bushings

last time i inspected the front end on my MJ, I noticed just about every end on all of my steering linkage was cracked and starting to rot. Nothing major of hand, but what can this lead to? It still handles fine and steers perfectly with no play, but I am hearing sqeaks when I stop or go over rough terrain. Can this all be related? How big of a pain in the arse is replacing all of this myself?
