El Mirage, Fearless's Folly Trail

In case anyone is interested. A few of the L.O.S.T. folks will be running out in El Mirage next Sunday the 18th @ 0900. There will be my XJ, at least one or two KJ's, and a couple TJ's so far.

Hey JJ,
Where's the meeting place and time? More specifically ( how do we get there?)
I saw the post and pics on LOST, looks like fun.
 
Meeting spot: Mountain View and El Mirage Road

We will meet at the First Info Display board you come to off of Mountain View Rd. which is right off of El Mirage Rd. The display board is on the right side of the road as you are heading Northbound on Mountain View. I will be there early waiting for everyone.

Meet at 0900 and we will be leaving at 0930 Sharp! Bring lunch and drinks.

Funny, I read that. But I know nothing about Northern California... HAHAHA, LOL... anything north of the 605 feeway is waaayyyy out there for me...

Seriously, what would be the best route from OC? I will map it to El Mirage and see what I get.

Easy to moderate with an optional side section that is Dificult. A 2.5" lifted, 30.5" tire equipped KJ had no problems on this trail. It has a couple small hill climbs and a couple rocky sections but nothing major. The optional section has lots of medium to large rocks but doable in a well equipped XJ.

Does anybody going on this run need any off the following:

Axle seals for a D-35 (91 XJ)

D-35 yoke (trail spare I bought for my YJ from years ago '88)

Rubber diff plug for an 8.25

All of these are new parts that are being evicted from my garage.
You can have them if you want them. I can give them to JJ if anyone wants them.

Nope, I have to work. I was hoping to see you at work, forgot you don't work Fridays. I also found a new spicer u-joint that I had for my YJ that I'm pretty sure will fit an XJ driveshaft too. I'll give it all to you the next time I see you and you can distribute to whoever wants the stuff.

We are going to hit the Star Bucks at Main St and the 15 Freeway, at 730 am, then we ,being Fish Tish and Bama are going to head out to the meeting point for the run. Anyone is welcome to meet us at the buckies. 760-221-6909

Well, we were planning on bringing Odette's TJ out for this, but my Kaleb (our 3 yr old son) decided to throw a toy through one of our windows! So now I have to get that fixed. Damn kids! but I love him....

Ya'll have fun!
 
Fun run. Trail is decent but not overly challenging.....well except for dodging the ATV's running all over the place. I think next time I will just bypass the hills near all the ATV's and get back to the canyons. Anyhow, a couple pics...
