lunch box locker, and new axle shafts

since i have the 27 spline shaft 8.25 i want to upgraded to a more permanant set up with the 29 spline shafts.

if i purchase a lunch box locker for the 8.25 with 29 splines and install it into my current carrier set up will i be able to run 29 spline axles.

plus will a simple removal and instaltion of the carrier require to re set up the gears??

You will have to get a 29 spline carrier to do this, or have yours machined. The holes in the carrier that the shafts fit through aren't big enough for a 29 spline shaft.
