Heater and A/C lights?

I bought my first xj two weeks ago and I noticed that at night the heater and a/c controls are not light. My xj is a 95 country and all I have to go off of is my friends 98 so he is of no help. Taking a look at the dash, it dose not look like there is a bulb in there that lights it up. Is there actually a bulb in there to light it all up or do I just need to memorize where it’s all at? Also, is there a light that is ment to light up when the cruise is on?

On my 90 there are no heater control lights. The plastic around them is solid, so it wouldn't light up even if there was a light

Yes there is...you just need to take off the bezel to reveal 4 screws, and its back there. Check this out.

Update on this
88XJSport you are absolutely correct, pulled the radio, found the light, found a bunch of burnt out lights. My frikken dash looks like a Christmas Tree now, Thanks
