uneven brake-pad wear

I have a 96 XJ. The inside break pads are completly gone and the outside pads still have about 50% of the pad left. The insides are grining into my rotors after only a few thousand miles, If I had to guess how many it would be about 7-11k.
Does anyone know what could be causing this?

Yep sounds like frozen or stuck slide pins.

A sticking caliper piston simply causes excess wear on both pads. The slide/sleeve will cause only one side to wear.

I have discovered the hard way that there are four ways to install the anti-rattle clips, and only one of them is the right way!

The three wrong ways also cause strange pad wear.:shiver:
