Distributor Problem

Replacing my distributor I moved the motor a couple revolutions (long story)
Anyways, how do I reset it. Their is no provisions for timing.???????????

short version of that thread. pull #1 spark plug. turn engine over with a wrench until #1 is at top dead center on the compression stroke. then drop the distributor in and make sure the rotor is facing towards the front passenger side. there is a link to a writeup and pics in that thread.

You can leave out step 3 (no need to remove valve cover).
