FIREWALL FLEX???

A customer of mine was installing a new clutch in a 92 XJ, and is having some type of problem with the firewall flexing. Anyone ever had or heard of the firewall flexing enough to cause any problems??

Huh? I suspect that he'd better go back over the uniframe carefully. That doesn't sound right.

It sounds pretty unlikely, but I could imagine stress cracking around where the pedal mounts.

My 85 had a crack around the clush master cly made two plates bigger and put one on each side .
