Can I lunchbox lock and change carrier (gearing) later?

Well, I am thinking of popping an Aussie in the front (D30). I currently have 3.55's. Once I upgrade to 33" tires, I am going to regear. This will require a new carrier. Does the Aussie (or any lunchbox type for that matter) fit regardless of carrier?

So, will I be able to reuse my aussie in the new carrier?

Yes, some gearsets have a carrier break, the lockers don't.
