Okay,

this is awesome! there are 3 runs schedule for the remaing weekends in Jan.

There is Truckhaven this weekend -
http://www.naxja.org/forum/showthread.php?t=899864

Then Gold Mountain - last rock garden run -
http://www.naxja.org/forum/showthread.php?t=902668

And of course, CALICO!!! -
http://www.naxja.org/forum/showthread.php?t=900034

So who is going to what?

I am going to try to attend all 3. Definitely going to Truckhaven this weekend, never been there. Then trying to get the wife's TJ to Gold Mountain. Gonna try to get both Jeeps to Calico!

Of course for me, each of these are single day runs, no hotels or camping....

I would like to go to Truckhaven but will my jeep hold ppl back or be a pain in everyones ass if i do get stuck?!? 3 1/2inch, stock arms, 31"BFG ATs, L/S rear, open front and no skids. I know most of your rigs are well built up, but anybody eles like me going?

Truckhaven will not be a problem for you. It's one of those places that is just fun for everyone. You can take a stock jeep, a built jeep and a buggy - push all to capacity and never be more than thirty feet apart.

thnx cal for the heads up! im going!! robert, can i meet up with you at your house?

Sure. Let's confirm on Thurs evening or Friday morning though.

I plan on leaving my house at 7:00 AM, heading out the 241 toll road to the 91 to the 10 to Palm Springs, then following the directions for the 86...

Anyone interested in meeting along the way?

I will leave this option open for any of the 3 runs - meet somewhere along the way...

My address is 25251 Arder Court, Lake Forest, CA 92630.

Go right on the 10.
Go right on the 86.
Drive until a giant lake appears on the left
Go right on North Marina Drive.

It's near impossible to miss. ;)

I'll see youz guyz at Truckhaven this weekend and again at Calico. The Weekend of the 20th I'll be camping with Vegas Valley 4 Wheelers up in Logandale. We're doing a mini version of our annual Hump N Bump event. No biggie really, but there's some vendors coming out for the Off Road Impact Show at the Las Vegas Convention Center that want a tour of the Logandale Trail System on the weeekend after the show. We are so happy to oblige.

Andy, have you been to Logandale already?

I'm thinking about checking it out on the way to UT later this year, wondering what's there. I've seen the Hump and Bump web page.

It's worth the trip. There is everything from mild to pretty wild. Fun stuff. I got to see a Discovery that the roof was cut/tubed break both front superfields (or whatever heavy duty birfields he had). There was one trail (looking at the photos) with a huge size boulder section.

Yes I have, but only a couple of times and haven't yet explored all the trails yet. There's a bit of everything out there. Very very scenic stuff through Valley of Fire State Park. Some of the gnarlier trails are there as well as the
adjacent BLM land. And some pass through nearby Lake Mead NPS land.

Good photos on Rollins' site at: http://www.gotgroceries.net/VegasValley4WheelersHumpBump1105/index.html

And mine at: http://s2.photobucket.com/albums/y33/andysteiner/off%20road/Hump%20and%20Bump%202005/

Wait until we open up Area 52 later this year or next. It will make the Hammers look tame in comparison.
