Valve cover wiring harness cradle

I have a 90XJ with the renix 4.0 and I need to pull the valve cover. There's these clips holding a wiring harness on every other stud on the intake side that need to be pulled. How can I do this without breaking them? Pull straight up? If I try and unscrew them they hit the valve cover.

Pull straight up - there are no threads in them.

Replacement is dubious - I don't usually bother. As long as the black corrugated tubing over them is in good shape, there won't be a problem. I think I added another layer once - but I don't usually bother with that much. Those spacers seem more cosmetic than anything else.

I pulled them on my 88 (daily driver) about three years ago - I'll let everyone know if I see any trouble as a result, but I haven't yet...
