Surco Roof Rack - Advice

I was looking into getting a Surco Roof rack....its like 180 bucks off of Summit racing....but its another $100 for the adapters...is there a cheaper solution...thanks in advance!!! (also- is there a different type of roof rack i can use that may be a little cheaper!!!!)

Look on Ebay for the Zacatal racks, you can make that very rack with common hardware store parts.

I bought a zacatal rack and its crap it looks like an eight year old did the welds. but the last poster is correct its just a bunch of electrical conduit... im not sure how the surco rack mounts, but I used an old THULE roof rack I had, just trimmed the bars down and bolted the rack right up. its more than strong enuf. I can stand up on top and im like 160lbs and there isnt any flex
