How much pressure is going agianst the inside of the head to cause a leak?

And would using an additive to seal the leak be wise to use intill i'm able to repair the damaged head.

I would think That the best way is to replace the bad part(s) as I recently did with my head. The mechanic asked me if I wanted to go the cheap way or the right way on the repair. The "cheap way" was to out an additive in there which he said usually works well and lasts for a while. I don't know what type of stuff he was talking about, but I got the head surfaced and gasket replaced instead. If you get this done, get a quopte in writing on labor.

If you want to use an additive K&D Block seal seems to work well. I can't say what else it will seal (heater core, rad) but I have seen it stop a small crack in a block and a external head gasket leak.
